Citizens Bank, New Britain Rock Cats, and Read to Grow announce "Reading Books in Summer" program

Citizens Bank has teamed up with Read to Grow, the New Britain Rock Cats, and the Connecticut Library Consortium for the 13th annual “Reading Books in Summer” (RBIS) program. Encouraging children to read during their summer break, the RBIS program drew more than 14,000 young reading participants last year to the ballpark.

Students between the ages of 5 and 12 who have completed a summer reading program with a Connecticut public library will receive two complimentary reserved seat tickets to one of the three Summer Reading Recognition Nights at the New Britain Stadium on August 13, 14 and 15. Youngsters will have the chance to participate in on-field activities, meet authors and will be entered to win the All-Star Reader Grand Prize, which includes a VIP experience for 10 at the ballpark.
