Local Portland Family Chooses Solar Energy

Meet Paul Labby. Paul lives in Portland with his family. Paul’s home was converted to solar energy in June 2013, but Paul first became interested in solar energy several years ago. Now, Paul proudly uses solar energy in his all-electric home, because he was able to leverage the Solarize CT program, as well as a home equity loan. Paul’s home was an ideal candidate for solar energy, as the house’s location has tremendous southern exposure.

Paul encourages others interested in solar energy to do their research and identify their options. For him, the decision to “go solar” has meant the ability to off-set electric grid demands, and Paul also proudly reports the environmental and economic benefits due to his implementation of an alternative energy source.

Paul is a dedicated solar energy advocate, and enthusiastic about why others in the community should consider this energy alternative.
