During the event, the Middletown Fire Department’s 2014 calendar will be released and sold for $20 each. All proceeds benefit MARC’s leisure and advocacy programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A portion of calendar sales also supports the Middletown Firefighters Local 1073 Charitable Fund.
“We’ve been hosting Tip-a-Firefighter and Tip-a-Cop events for several years, along with various other fundraisers,” Tuscany Grill co-owner Brenda Reilly said. “Our mission is to give back to the community.”
Tuscany Grill and its sister restaurant in Cromwell, Baci Grill, also participate in Appetite for Life, a month-long charitable dining program partnering Middlesex Hospital and more than 20 restaurants and businesses in Middlesex County.
The title sponsor of this year’s Tip-a-Firefighter is A.R. Mazzotta Employment Specialists. Co-sponsors are Attention to Detail (ATDZONE); Dzialo, Pickett & Allen, P.C.; Greenwald Industries; Rocky's Aqua; and Suburban Stationers.
