Belltown Garden Club Wins Award

Group's website cited for good design, ease of use, educational value and publicizing achievements.

 

The East Hampton Belltown Garden Club won a 2011 Publication Award from the Federated Garden Clubs of CT.

The Publication and Website Award is part of the Federated Garden Clubs of CT’s yearly Award Program for a variety of garden club activities including civic garden projects, scholarships, youth projects, garden therapy and conservation.

The Belltown Garden Club won a Publication and Website Award in the form of a Certificate of Merit for the blog created by two local garden club members, JoAnn Hewett and Dianne Kimball, who maintains the blog as publicity chairperson.  The blog was cited for good design, ease of use, educational value and publicizing the achievements of the local garden club and its state and national affiliates, the Federated Garden Clubs of CT, Inc. and the National Garden Clubs, Inc.

Karen Gallmon, President of the Belltown Garden Club, stated in her congratulatory announcement, “Our membership has grown over the last few years and it is due to the energy and enthusiasm that each of you brings to the group.”
