East Hampton High School Supporters Planning Flyer, Community Outreach

The efforts are being overseen by the PAC lobbying on behalf of the high school renovations.

The political action committee spearheading efforts to promote the East Hampton High School renovation referendum on June 4 is seeking a place locally to set up an information booth and is working to produce a flyer on the proposal.

Thom Cordeiro, the PAC's president, said on the group's Facebook page, EHHS Renovate to Educate, that the PAC also is seeking volunteers to begin outreach efforts at local sporting events and to hand out flyers to residents.

The PAC also wants local volunteers to write letters of support to local news outlets.

The $51.6 million renovation plan will go to voters in a townwide vote, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., on June 4. About half of the proposals costs would be paid for with a state grant.

Cordeiro said the PAC wanted to set up an informational booth outside of Stop & Shop but is now looking for another location after store managers said they couldn't use that location.
