East Hampton to Welcome Home Capt. Pugatch

Ceremony to be held Friday at Village Center.

 

East Hampton will hold a Welcome Home Veterans Ceremony on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Center triangle.

United States Army Capt. Jeffrey Pugatch is returning home from a one-year tour in Afghanistan.

Capt. Pugatch was in the ROTC program at Providence College and was commissioned into the Army in May 2008. As a member of the First Cavalry stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska, he was deployed to Iraq for four months in 2009 before his deployment to Afghanistan.

A 2004 graduate of East Hampton High School, Capt. Pugatch will be the sixth service member East Hampton has welcomed home and had his yellow ribbon removed from the tree.

Everyone is welcome to attend the ceremony. Parking will be available at the Center School.
