East Hampton to Welcome Home Two More

Ceremony for returning service members is Saturday.

East Hampton's Welcome Home Veterans Committee will be welcoming home two service members from overseas.

Air Force SrA Nicholas Pawlak and Marine Lance Cpl Kristopher Schonagel will be welcomed home with a ceremony on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Village Center.

The servicemen and their families will march from the Center School parking lot, down the sidewalk in front of the Congregational Church to the center for a brief ceremony where they will cut their yellow ribbon off the tree.

Residents are invited to bring their flags and line the area to welcome home their servicemen.

Also, the family of  U.S. Army Spec. Roger Boulanger will perform the “Walk Of Honor” and place a ribbon on the tree for their son.

Cmdr. Michael Flatley, a 16-year Navy veteran, was the first to be welcomed home with a ceremony on June 30.
