Holiday Season Food Drive Raises $2,000 in Portland

Tri Town Foods' efforts benefit food bank.

Tri Town Foods of Portland recently completed a holiday season food drive to benefit the Portland Food Bank. The drive raised more than $2,000 in food and cash donations. The food drive kicked off Nov. 19 with a "Taste of Tri Town" sampling day conducted by store staff and numerous local vendors. In addition to donations of food from the community and Tri Town, cash donations were collected through selling $1 wall tags and $5 and $10 food bags. Included in the photo are Nunzio and Ruth Maio of the Portland Food Bank, Rick Sharr of Tri Town Foods, State Rep. Christie Carpino and Portland First Selectwoman Susan Bransfield.
