Local Priest to Bless East Hampton's Boats This Sunday
Residents are welcome to attend the annual Blessing of the Fleet at Angelico's Lake House Restaurant on Lake Pocotopaug.
Boaters and non-boaters alike are welcome to attend the annual "Blessing of the Fleet" on Lake Pocotopaug in East Hampton on Sunday.
At 2 p.m. at Angelico's Lake House Restaurant, the Rev. Walter Nagle of St. Patrick's Church will be on board to bless the fleet of boats on the lake. Boaters and non-boaters are welcome to attend this yearly event.
There will be music and a pig roast luau buffet following the blessing and there will be narrated boat rides around the lake for the family (by reservation).
“The Friends of Lake Pocotopaug” will also be selling raffle tickets for their yearly fundraiser with first prize of $10,000.
The Friends of Lake Pocotopaug is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to funding projects specifically designed to improve the water quality of Lake Pocotopaug.
