Peszynski Breast Cancer Foundation Donates $24,000

Owners of Paul's & Sandy's Too keep on giving.

The Peszynski family, owners and operators of Paul’s & Sandy’s Too on Route 66 in East Hampton, created the Sandy Peszynski Breast Cancer Foundation in 2009 in honor of a wife and mother who experienced a long journey with breast cancer. The Foundation helps to support the organizations that were instrumental in helping Sandy cope with her illness. One hundred percent of the funds raised by the Foundation are donated.

One of the local organizations supported by the Foundation for several years now is the Middlesex Hospital Comprehensive Breast Center. The hospital center is fully accredited - only the third hospital in Connecticut to receive this national designation. In meeting these established standards, the center provides a multidisciplinary, technologically advanced approach to care. The comprehensive program provides clinical, diagnostic and support services to patients before, during and after their services and treatment.

This year, the Peszynski Foundation presented its largest donation to date, a check for $24,000, to the Middlesex Hospital Comprehensive Breast Center. The funds were raised from a variety of special events and fundraising programs, including Paul’s & Sandy’s Too Pumpkintown U.S.A., the annual Pumpkintown Prom, held at Angelico’s Lakehouse Restaurant in East Hampton and a special “flash mob dance,” held at the garden center this fall.

To date, the Sandy Peszynski Breast Cancer Foundation has donated approximately $56,000 to the hospital for breast cancer services.
