The store, pronounced “Abbeys,” is apparently the brainchild of local resident John Tuttle, according to the planned yogurt bar’s Facebook page.

“Greetings! Abbeez Premium Frozen Yogurt Bar is coming to East Hampton in early 2013,” a post on the page says. “We look forward to offering you the finest quality frozen yogurt from our self serve machines, along with over 50 topping options for you to select from our self serve toppings bar. We will offer low fat, non fat, and no sugar added frozen yogurt as well as non dairy sorbets. Stay tuned for details!”

Another posting says the store will open by March 1.

One worker was at the retail space this week. The store is getting new walls and floors and furniture will be in soon.
