Say Hello to the Royal Munchkin*!

Americans can pay tribute to the royal baby this week at Dunkin' Donuts, as the company rolls out its specialty Royal Munchkin in honor of the birth of Kate and William's baby boy.

“He’s here and we couldn’t be more excited,” said Guilford resident Frankie D’Andrea, Franchisee of D’Andrea Network Dunkin’ Donuts. “We are elated to celebrate the arrival of the newest member of the Royal Family by offering the Royal Munchkin at all of our 13 Dunkin’ Donuts locations from Killingworth to Guilford to Milford.”

According to Dunkin’ Brands, “The Royal Munchkin, Dunkin' Donuts' newest addition to its family of Munchkin varieties, is an old-fashioned Munchkin donut hole treat gently dipped in pink, blue and white sprinkles representing traditional new baby colors.”

“The news of the Royal baby boy’s arrival is special to our Dunkin’ Donuts family as our Dunkin' Brands' CEO and Chairman Nigel Travis, is a dual U.S. and British citizen. It’s also special news for our family-owned business as my wife and I welcomed our first daughter just last month.”

“We will be carrying the Dunkin’ Donuts Royal Munchkin in all our stores throughout the week as will other participating franchises. We will be selling the Royal Munchkin in a variety of quantities, including 25-count or 50-count boxes. The munchkins are a great grab-and-go snack and perfect if you’re planning a Royal baby celebration!”

“We are also happily carrying the Baskin-Robbins' Baby Shower Cake at our Killingworth Baskin-Robbins Dunkin’ Donuts combo location. This 9-inch-round cake is designed with precious baby booties and can be customized with a person's favorite combination of Baskin-Robbins ice cream and cake flavors.”
