Successful Open House at Portland Farm

White Birch Farm is a newer farm operating in Portland, CT.  Located on Sand Hill Rd, accessible from Route 66, Amy Rader opened her doors there in late January.  After spending the spring and summer getting situated and growing her business, she spent the day after Thanksgiving opening her farm doors to the public.  
Pony rides and farm tours were given to old and new faces alike.  Riding Demos in English, Western and Mounted Shooting were also viewed during the open house.  
White Birch Farm of Portland will continue with their support of the town by holding programs through the Park and Recreations department.  The new consignment tack shop opened up last Friday as well, and will be open every Saturday from 9am-2pm.
