A Stormy Monday Possible

Hazardous Weather Outlook issued for our area.

If you haven't awakened to it already, Monday is expected to be a wet and potentially stormy day, enough so for the National Weather Service to issue a Hazardous Weather Outlook.

Showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing heavy rain and gusty winds. Any flooding is expected to be minor but flash flooding is possible, according to the NWS.

Localized areas may see higher amounts in a short period of time that could result in urban flooding.

The East Hampton and Portland area escaped the storms and gusty winds on Friday. Whether it can again, or even if the thunderstorms do not materialize, an umbrella seems like a good idea if you have one.
