Daily Five: East Hampton Little League Hosts Drop-In Games on Friday Nights

Also, East Hampton schools seeking 3-4 year old preschool role models.

 

  1. The East Hampton Board of Education is seeking 3- and 4-year-old local children to take part in the school district’s preschool program as role models for students with disabilities. The deadline to apply is March 15. Parents interested in having their children partipate can get applications at either Memorial Elementary School or the East Hampton Public Library.
  2. Kids Arts Space of Middletown will host a Grand Opening / Open Gallery starting today and running through tomorrow.
  3. The IRS' Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program is offering free tax help to those 60 and older and who have low to moderate incomes. The assistance is available through the East Hampton Senior Center. 
  4. Portland students can apply to take part in the Capitol Region Interdistrict Leadership Academy (CRILA). This highly successful and challenging Academy is going into its tenth year of operation and has provided leadership experiences and service learning opportunities to over 270 students in the Greater Hartford area. This is a free program for students. Applications are due by March 22.
  5. The East Hampton Little League is hosting Friday night “drop-in” softball clinics for girls in grades 2-8 at Memorial Elementary School starting at 5:15 p.m.
