Daily Five: Fish Fry Fridays in East Hampton

  1. The East Hampton Knights of Columbus are hosting Friday Night Fish Fries every Friday night through Lent.  The dinners are held at 4:30 p.m. in the St. Patrick Church Community Center on North Maple St. The cost of the meals is: $9 for shrimp, $8 for clam strips, $7.50 for fish and $3 for kids meals, $3. Take out available.      
  2.   State Sen. Art Linares, R-Westbrook, and State Rep. Melissa Ziobron, R-East Haddam, will hold a Town Hall Meeting at the East Hampton Library on Thursday, March 21,  from 6-7:30 p.m. During the public meeting legislators will take questions and discuss the state budget.
  3. Here's an excellent tutorial, courtesy of the IRS, on how to track your federal tax refund. 
  4. The East Hampton Public Library will host the program Footprint Friday! Magic Tree House for 2nd and 3rd graders on March 15 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. It will include activities and crafts based on the Magic Tree House series.
  5. The Ladybug Boutique in Middletown will host a food drive on Friday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please bring one nonperishable item for the Amazing Grace food pantry and get 20 percent off your total purchase at the boutique, which sells gifts, jewelry and handmade items.
