- There will be an “All Arts Night Art Show” at the Art Alcove on Friday at 6 p.m. tonight. The Alcove is located at 66 Main Marketplace, 66 Main St. The show will feature the work of Scotty Giffen and Emily Zeitlin and will include a wine tasting.
- Saturday is Take Your Child to the Library Day, 2013 edition. First held in 2012, with inspiration from a Connecticut Children's Librarian, this event at the East Hampton Public Library will include crafts, contests, puzzles and games.
- The Portland Public Library Story Circle this Thursday will be for 3-5 year olds and will be on “Old Story Times.” The story circle is held from 1-3 p.m. in the library’s Wagner Room.
- The IRS tax tip today is how to get the most of the child tax credit.
- It’s Girl Scout cookie time. Truckloads of cookies are scheduled to roll out on March 2 as volunteers and Girl Scouts of Connecticut staff will distribute cookies for customer delivery. Cookie Booth sales begin on March 2 and will continue through March 31.
