Dugas replaces former School Superintendent Judith Golden, who retired last year.

Dugas, Laraia said "brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of Common Core and Teacher Evaluation.  She is very connected with state organizations.  I believe that Diane will continue the work started by Dr. Golden and the education staff and move this school system further into the 21st century."

The school district is currently being run by Interim School Superintendent Mark Winzler.
