Help Us Keep Our Towns Informed During Hurricane Irene

Photos, videos, news updates ... you share it, we'll publish it.

Is power out in your neighborhood? Do you know of a tree down or road being closed? Perhaps your group or organization has a cancellation you want to announce. Maybe you have a photo or video of the storm you want to share, whether from your backyard or around town.

With your help, we can make the East Hampton-Portland Patch a destination for residents to find out what is happening before, during and after Hurricane Irene. If you have news you want to share, we want to publish it. All you have to do is email michael.bartolotta@patch.com and I will get what you have to say on the web site and on Facebook as quickly as possible. Keep in mind that no news is too small.

This is an opportunity to show how invaluable a resource Patch can be in our community, especially during a major event such as a hurricane. With your help, we can make that happen.

Stay safe and thank you for visiting the East Hampton-Portland Patch.

Hi Tom, Due to the intense rain this weekend--and even today--the lantern launching has indeed beenRead More rescheduled. One of our editors, Ron DeRosa, published a story on it earlier today: http://easthampton-ct.patch.com/groups/around-portland/p/rainy-weekend-postpones-lantern-event-in-portland Hope that clears things up a bit. - Rob
