In East Hampton and Portland: Snowed In — Show Us Your Snow Pics!

The area has gotten about two feet of snow so far ... and as of 7 a.m. it's still snowing.

 

There are drifts of up to 6-7 feet around East Hampton and Portland and about two feet of snow has fallen so far from the Blizzard of 2013.

Here are some pics of some of the scenes that greeted folks on Lake Pocotopaug in East Hampton this morning.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has declared a state of emergency in Connecticut and ordered all roads closed in the state. Forecasters are saying the snow will start to taper off this morning.

As of 8 a.m. there were more than 37,000 CL&P customers in the state without power.,mostly along the shoreline. CL&P is reporting that none of its customers in East Hampton or Portland lost power in the storm.
