According to a news story on WFSB 3, the family's rescue dog, Duke, jumped on the Brousseau's bed on Sunday night and was shaking uncontrollably, waking them up.
The Brousseaus, according to the report, said their dog has never acted like that before and they knew something must be wrong. They were right; their 9-week-old daughter, Harper, had stopped breathing.
Paramedics were able to revive the baby and the family is crediting their adopted dog of six years with saving their baby's life, the report stated. Read the full story on WFSB here.
