Dog Alerts Portland Parents to Infant Daughter Who Stopped Breathing

Duke's fear woke the parents of 9-week old Harper Brousseau, alerting them to their daughter's distress.

According to a news story on WFSB 3, the family's rescue dog, Duke, jumped on the Brousseau's bed on Sunday night and was shaking uncontrollably, waking them up.

The Brousseaus, according to the report, said their dog has never acted like that before and they knew something must be wrong. They were right; their 9-week-old daughter, Harper, had stopped breathing.
