The Daily Five: East Hampton Business is Now Serving up Froyo!

  1. The East Hampton Library will host Fribrary Time on Friday, March 8, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. This program is for 4th and 5th graders and this week’s game will be Let’s Play Telepictionary, a cross between the games Pictionary and “telephone.”  You can register online for the event.
  2. Happy news! Alex, a 45-pound black Poodle mix missing for several days this week, came home safe and sound. His owners, who had offered a $500 reward for his return, found him on their back deck on Friday, tired and thirsty, but otherwsie healthy. Welcome home Alex!
  3. Did you know that Abbeez, a new frozen yogurt shop, is now open in the Theater Square shopping center in East Hampton? The new store is owned by local resident John Tuttle.
  4. The Portland Public Library will host an Adult Writing Group on Tuesday, March 5, from 12:30 to2:30 p.m. in the library’s Van Beynum Room.
  5. The Ladybug Boutique in Middletown will host a food drive on Friday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please bring one nonperishable item for the Amazing Grace food pantry and get 20 percent off your total purchase at the boutique, which sells gifts, jewelry and handmade items.
