The Daily Five: East Hampton's Town Council Meets Tonight

Five things you should know today.

 

 

  1. Joan Youngs, of East Hampton, is getting the United Way’s Community Leadership Award at the group’s annual meeting on Jan. 29.
  2. The East Hampton High School Marking period ended this past week, midterm exams are over, and report cards will be issued Feb. 1. The Middle school report cards will be issued the same day.
  3. Sleepy Time Stories for kids ages 2-8 will be held at the Portland Library today from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Wagner Room.   
  4. A Portland man was charged this weekend in connection with an accident that sent two people to the hospital.
  5. The East Hampton Town Council meets tonight. The Council will be issuing a proclamation honoring two outgoing state lawmakers, Eileen Daily and Gail Hamm, and will discuss the search for a new police chief.
