The Daily Five: Friday is Good Friday

Town Halls and other municipal buildings are closed.

 

  1. Town halls in Portland and East Hampton will be closed on Friday, March 29, in observance of Good Friday.
  2. Your Daily Tax Tip: Here are some things to know if you had foreign income in 2012.
  3. The East Hampton Board of Finance will hold a public hearing on the the proposed town budget on Monday, April 1, at 7 p.m., in the East Hampton High School library. The proposed $39.8 million for 2013-2014 includes a $28 million Board of Education budget and a $9.7 million general government (town operations) budget.
  4. The East Hampton Public Library will host Fribrary Time, Life-Size Monopoly, for East Hampton Center School students from 3:30—4:30 p.m. Staff will walk students from the school to library for the event. Light refereshments will be served.
  5. The Cross Street AME Zion Church, 440 West St,.,Middletown, will host a Sunrise Easter Service on Sunday, March 31, starting at 6 a.m. At 8:30 a.m., Church School will be in session and at 10 a.m., the church will present the The Thorn Experience. There will be an hors d' oeuvres reception after and all  are welcome.
