The Daily Five: The Portland Public Library is Hosting "Movies in the Evening"

- The Portland Public Library will show the movie “Parental Guidance,” starring Bette Midler and Billy Crystal, as part of its “Movies in the Evening” series next month.
- The group WORD (Women Organized to Resist and Defend) will host a march to draw attention to the issue of violence against women on Saturday, March 9, from noon to 2 p.m., in downtown New Haven. The group wants to draw attention to the apathy and status quo that allows violent acts against women to continue.
