East Hampton Girls Soccer Bounces Back to Beat Westbrook

Bellringers defeat Westbrook 3-1 in match against Westbrook on Thursday.

The Bellringer's girls soccer team defeated Westbrook on Sept. 27 by a final score of 3-1.

The game started as a back and forth match with both teams getting chances. Scoring was started by a disputed penalty kick awarded to Westbrook's Kathryn Cyr who hit a nice shot just wide of the diving EH keeper Ali Bristol.

Ali got her hand on it but couldn't complete the save. East Hampton roared back with a series of passes from Natalie Dash to Casie Easter to Sarah Dickerman who scored just 10 seconds after the Westbrook penalty, knotting the score at 1-1 going into halftime.

Stephanie Bock broke thru the back line on a dynamic dibbling run and put the Bellringer's ahead 2-1 and shortly after that  Captain Shelby Zaborowski set up Meghan Orbann for a composed finish and the  final goal of the match.
