East Hampton Bells Ring on at Bevin Campaign Rally

The owner of the Bevin Brothers bell factory in town is running for Senate in Kentucky.

A little bit of East Hampton has accompanied Matt Bevin in his mission to challenge Mitch McConnell for a seat in the U.S. Senate.

Bevin recently attended during a major political kick-off event in Fancy Farm, KY, where the East Hampton businessman and Louisville resident is running on the Tea Party ticket against McConnell, the Republican party's Senate minority leader.

Hoping to unseat the 30-year incumbent, Bevin, McConnell and the Democratic candidate, Alison Lundergan Grimes, spoke to a raucous crowd that jeered and supported their respective candidates, as chronicled in this story on The Daily Beast.

Bevin's supporters rang bells during his speaking portion, which NPR noted were the "Salvation Army bells made in Connecticut" at the Bevin Bros. Manufacturing factory in East Hampton.

See the YouTube video for Bevin's speech above.
