Bellringers Stamp Boscarino's 200th Win

East Hampton Boys Soccer topped Coginchaug on Monday, officially scoring Bob Boscarino's his 200th victory in the 21 years as a coach

Coach Bob Boscarino in his 21st year as the varsity soccer coach at East Hampton High School notched his 200th victory on Monday when the Bellringers defeated Coginchaug 6-0. The victory came in a conference game that was very physical and a lot closer than the score the Bellringers came to play.

Scoring began with a header by sweeper Nathaniel Heroux rushing the box and passed an over extended Coginchaug goalie. The game would head into the second half with the score 1-0. The second half promised to be a war but the Bellringers had other plans.

The scoring started with a score by Connor Wall with a deflection from a viscious header by Nate Landry. Senior Nathaniel Heroux would score again on a header to make it 3-0. Senior Nate Landry would finally tally with a header of his own and Jordan Casey would shred the defense for goal #5. The final goal of the contest would come from sophomre Kyle Stiano. East Hampton 6, Coginchaug 0.

Very often, especially in the emotional contests that are High School sports there is something extra that propels a team to a superior performance. That happened in Durham, Ct. against a very good Blue Devil team.

All of the players new that Coach Boscarino would get his 200th win if they did their best and brought home the win. They did that and then some.

Their performance was the best compliment a coach could ask for and I am sure that this memory will last a long time for Coach Boscario, at least until Saturday when the Bellringers face Valley Regional in another tough Shorline match. 3:45 p.m. at Valley.

Congartulations to Coach B and the 'Ringers!
