East Hampton Rings in with Another Victory

East Hampton Boy's Soccer.

The East Hampton High School Boys Soccer Team dealt a strong blow to The Morgan School's Shoreline Conference hopes with a 1-0 win in East Hampton. The score for the Bellringers came in the first 2 min. of play by Jordan Casey and after 23 shots on goal by East Hampton and 2 for Morgan the score would remain the same. Credit a strong defensive showing to East Hampton which has notched 6 shut outs in its 7-3-1 record.

Senior Captain Sweeper Nathaniel Heroux once again rallied a strong defense and prevented any serious challenge in the latter part of the second half. A strong supporting effort from Ben Boscarino, goalie Austin Tierney and Phil Moon prevented the Morgan School from getting a late score. The aggresive play of Tierney has been a welcomed feature all season for the EHHS 11.

East Hampton continues to have trouble on the offensive side of the pitch and seemed very flat in the second half. It needs to see better balance from the strikers and midfield if they are to challenge the stronger teams. They have the talent but it is a team game and now is the time for the "Ringers" to come together. Senior leadership and superior coaching needs to step to the forfront to have the boys ready for tournament time. Next up for the Bellringers is Old Saybrook away on Wed. 10/17.
