Valley Gives East Hampton a Wake Up Call.

Soccer Saturday Misses the Mark For Ringers.

You can say they were flat. You can say they were tired. There are always a plethora of excuses when you lose. What ever the reason the East Hampton Bellringers fell far from grace with a wake up call from a very formidable oponent in Valley Regional.

The Warriors were neither flat nor tired and Senior John Luster tallied first from a vacant right side to make it 1-0 early. A valliant effort by the Bellringer defense managed to keep the score close to the end of the first half at 1-0. It was clearly apparent that they would be in for a tough battle in the second half.

Luster would again score early in the second half and the Warrior's would tally once more to close out a one sided contest at 3-0. Coach Boscarino would attemp to light some kind of challenge by making some offensive ajustments, sending sweeper Nathaniel Heroux to forward and re-shuffling the midfield but it was too little too late. Underclassmen Sean Pedavillano, Jordan Casey and Kyle Stiano seemed to bring a little life to a lackluster game but again it was not to be.

The Bellringer's have the raw elements of a very good team but they need to understand that soccer takes 11 young men with a focused effort to be successful. The "ringers" have shown flashes of brilliance but they need to grow as a unit with heart and dedication. As cliched as it may read on this fall saturday those attributes clearly belonged to the Warriors.
