Patch's Poll: Will You Watch NHL Games When the Season Finally Begins?

An agreement was finally reached on the 113th day of the lockout.

After months of tense negotiations, the National Hockey League appears to have reached an agreement with its player union.

The New York Times said on Sunday that ratification by the owners and owners is likely, which means that a shortened season of about 50 games would begin before Jan. 20.

The Stanley Cup would be awarded in June.

A collective bargaining agreement that had been in place for seven years expired on Sept. 15, 2012 — the start of the lockout.

Are you one of the fans frustrated by the long delay? Will you tune in to watch professional hockey games once they start again?

Take our poll and tell us in the comments.

Of course I will watch the Caps play. Anyone who says differently was not a fan in the first place.

We did go down this road before and that was when hockey was more popular and still we lost the team for lack of interest. Too much money for very ify return why not a pro basket ball team at the civic center.

Cheaper to support local sporting activities with high school or college teams. Both Quinnipiac and Yale are ranked in the top 20 for NCAA Division 1 Men's Hockey. I'll be at the Yale-Harvard game on Friday the 18th. Always nice to see old friends at these events.

Whenever I like to see old friends, I usually go to the city water reclamation facility, there is always larger numbers of my compadres flowing down the pipes......... JA always truthful, often nasty.
