What's On Tonight: 'Alcatraz,' 'Fashion Police,' 'Bizarre Foods America'

TV tips for Monday, Jan. 30, 2012

"Alcatraz," 9 p.m., ABC

This is very Lost-like but I don’t necessarily mean that as a criticism, since I always loved the way that Lost manipulated me with its use of music, cliff-hanger commercial breaks, and people running madly in different directions. Also, creepy noises from around a corner. I like too that each episode is focusing on one convict – gives us focus within the larger “mythology” that is taking shape. My only criticism is the Sam Neill talks with marbles in his mouth.

"Fashion Police," 10 p.m., E!

The SAG Awards wrap up. I like to just look at Sophia Vergara. Like, all the time.

"Bizarre Foods America," 9 p.m., Travel

Tonight, New Orleans. And I will tell you that no matter how drunk I was in New Orleans, I never, ever sucked on a crawfish head. In case you were wondering.
