Body of Missing Woman Found

Search ends with Portland woman's body being found in Connecticut River.

 

The body of a missing Portland woman was found late Tuesday morning in the Connecticut River.

Acccording to police, the body of Margaret Oliver was found on the Portland side of the river near the Riverside Marina. Oliver had been missing since Thursday afternoon. She was last seen leaving the Greystone Retirement Home in Portland where she lived and at the time was believed to have taken a bus to Middletown.

Police searched the river over the weekend using cadaver dogs.

Oliver, 59, was considered endangered because of being diagnosed with mental health issues as well as possibly suffering from dementia, police had previously said.
