East Hampton Police Blotter: June 1 - June 7

The following information was provided by the East Hampton Police Department. Inclusion on this list does not indicate a conviction.

June 7
Rober A. Meyer, Jr., 34, of 78 Millstone Drive, Marlborough, was issued a ticket for following too close and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Officer Pekar was conducting a routine motor vehicle stop for a loud muffler. A computerized check of the driver, Aaron Freeman, 33, of 50 Old West High St., East Hampton, revealed there was an active PRAWN warrant for his arrest. Officer Pekar placed Freeman under arrest for failure to respond to an infraction.

June 5
Officers Wilson and Wishart responded to a report of a woman screaming for help and the sound of a horn honking at the Nichols' Bus Service shortly after 1 a.m.  Officer Wishart located two intoxicated adults on the property.  Jessica Anne Way, 35, of 100 Young St., East Hampton, was placed under arrest by Officer Wilson for driving under the influence.

June 4
Paola Mastroinanni, 30, of 46 West St., Cromwell, was issued a summons for misuse of a registration plate and operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.

June 2
An East Hampton resident came to the East Hampton Police Department to report that a man driving a green Hundai Elantra had threatened to kill her. The resident was able to provide Officer Burgin with the last three letters on the CT Plates. As a result, Officer Burgin placed Ralph Stone, Jr., 56, under arrest for second-degree threatening.

Philip B. Knowlton, Jr., 75, of 191 Middle Haddam Road, East Hampton, was issued a ticket for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Elson Canuto, 23, of 45 Ann St., Norwich, was pulled over by Officer Wilson after his vehicle was observed weaving within its own lane and then cross the double yellow center line.  Officer Wilson placed Canuto under arrest for driving under the influence, failure to drive right and possession of less than 1/2 ounce of marijuana.

June 1
Officers Hanlon and Burgin responded to reports of a man charging at someone while swearing in the area of 15 Barbara Avenue. Officer Hanlon placed Ralph Stone, Jr., 56, of 15 Barbara Avenue, EAst Hampton, under arrest for third-degree intimidation and disorderly conduct.

May 30
Officers Gionfriddo and Burgin were dispatched to 9 West High St. (West Side Manor) for an active assault between two of the residents. Officer Gionfriddo placed Matthew Gaudreau, 36, under arrest for third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Officers Brault, Burgin, Gionfriddo and Sergeant Dowty were conducting a seat belt check point on Route 66 in the area of Childs Road when they observed a green Dodge Durango traveling at a high rate of speed toward the line of vehicles stopped at the check point. The driver of the Durango then proceeded to pass the line of vehicles, ignoring officers' instructions. Officer Brault placed Katherine E. Measimer, 40, of 17 Whittier Road, East Hampton, under arrest for disobeying officers' signals and driving under the influence.

May 29
Officer Brault responded to a speeding motor vehicle complaint in the area of Barbara Avenue.  Officer Brault located the driver of the motor vehicle, Ralph Stone, Jr., 56, of 15 Barbara Ave., East Hampton, and issued him a summons for reckless driving, making unnecessary noise and creating a public disturbance.

Alexander Marzullo, 19, of 6 Blue Grass Drive, Middletown, was involved in a car vs pole motor vehicle accident on Route 16, west of Main Street. Marzullo was issued a ticket for failure to drive right.

May 27
Carly M. Loura, 20, of 229 Tartia Road, East Hampton, was issued a summons for disobeying traffic control and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
