East Hampton Police Blotter: May 19 - May 25

May 23
Officer Burgin, Sergeant Dowty and Officer Salafia responded to a report of an out of control male at 230 Old West High St. Michael A. Bower was placed under arrest and charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia and interfering with an officer.

May 22
Robert M. Elliott, 67, of 25 Brockway Ferry, Deep River, was issued a ticket for failure to wear a seat belt.

May 21
Kiana Bonsu, 18, of 35 Auburn Knoll, East Hampton, was involved in a one car motor vehicle accident on Eastham Bridge Road. Bonsu was issued a ticket for operating a motor vehicle without an instructor.

Officer Burgin and Officer Hanlon responded to a verbal dispute at West Side Manor located at 9 West High St. Officer Burgin arrested Daniel Allan Neligon, 36, of 9 West High St., East Hampton, for disorderly conduct.

May 19
Officer Hanlon responded to reports of a domestic disturbance at 36 Young St. Ashley Gilberto was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

Nicole E. Romano, 23, of 26 Joe Williams Road, Moodus, was issued a ticket for failure to drive right and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

May 18
Officer Gionfriddo observed a tan Chevrolet Suburban traveling at 22 MPH over the posted speed limit and initiated a motor vehicle stop. Jessica Way, 40, of 100 Young St., East Hampton, was arrested and charged with speeding and driving under the influence.

Aaron Cost, 37, of 34 Laurel Cove Road, East Haddam, was issued a summons for traveling at 31 MPH over the posted speed limit of 50 MPH.

Matthew R. Bissonnette, 23, of 11 Maynard St., Middletown, was pulled over and arrested by Officer Brault after Bassinette's green Honda Civic was observed traveling past him at 15 MPH over the posted speed limit and drifted over the yellow double centerline and back. Bissonnette was charged with driving under the influence, traveling unreasonably fast and failure to drive right.

May 17
Officer Burgin responded to a two car motor vehicle accident in which one vehicle evaded. George Ruthier, 60, of 239 West High St. had reported that the accident had occurred on West High St. in the area of Long Crossing Road. He said the evading vehicle had struck the driver side door of his parked vehicle. Ruthier then followed the evading vehicle to its residence and called police. Officer Burgin issued a summons to Paul Mangiafico, 46, of 14 Stagecoach Run, East Hampton, for evading responsibility.

May 11
Abbe Cyr, 36, of 9 Colchester Ave., East Hampton, was pulled over and arrested by Officer Gionfriddo after her gray Toyota Scion was observed swerving over the yellow double centerline on Route 16.  Cyr was charged with failure to drive right, driving under the influence and operating under suspension.
