East Hampton Police Blotter: Oct. 6 - Oct. 12

The following information provided by the East Hampton Police Department. An arrest or infraction does not indicate a conviction. All individuals listed in our reports are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Oct. 9

Richard P. Vezina Jr., 47, of no certain address was arrested for violation of a protective order.

Officer Hardie Burgin and Sergeant Battista responded to 96 Colchester Ave. for a report of a disturbance. Upon their arrival the officers found John Forbes Iv, 26, of 205 West High St., East Hampton, on the property. Forbes attempted to flee on his motorcycle but ultimately lost control and was immediately taken into custody for his own safety. As a result of their investigation Forbes was arrested for violation of a protective order, disorderly conduct, operating under the influence and operating under suspension.

Michael E. Brogan, 25, of 23 Dogwood Drive, East Hampton, and Julie Shaw, 28, of 176 Young St., East Hampton, were involved in a two car motor vehicle accident in the area of 18 Summit Street. Brogan was issued a ticket for traveling too fast for conditions.

Oct. 5

Officer Salafia and Sergeant Green responded to 13 Wangonk Trail, East Hampton, to investigate a report of a domestic dispute. As a result of their investigation Irene Curtis, 69, of 13 Wangonk Trai, East Hampton, and James Curtis, 72, of the same address were both issued summons for disorderly conduct.

Michael P. Affinito, 22, of 30 Barbara Ave., East Hampton, was involved in a one car motor vehicle accident in the area of 134 Mott Hill Road when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree. Affinito was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive right, misuse of plates and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
