East Hampton Police Blotter: Sept. 1 - Sept. 6

The following information was submitted by the East Hampton Police Department. An arrest or infraction does not indicate a conviction.

Aug. 29

Kyle Rutkauski, 19, of 127 Pearl St., Enfield, turned himself in pursuant to an active arrest warrant. Rutkauski was charged with third-degree burglary and fifth-degree larceny.

Officers Gionfriddo and Brault respondd to 17 Old Coach Road for a report of a runaway resident. Officers located the resident on Route 16 and returned him to 17 Old Coach. As the officer were leaving however the resident became extremely agitated and assaulted Officer Brault. Wigberto Laboy, 32, of 17 Old Coach Road, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, interfering/resisting an officer and assault on a police officer.

Aug. 30

Officer Wishart and Sergeant Boynton responded to the area of 133 Wopowog Road for reports of a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival Sergeant Boynton located the trespasser who was identified as Dylan James Moore, 23, of no certain address. Officer Wishart placed Moore under arrest for first-degree criminal trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to have labeling on a prescription bottle.

Wigberto Laboy, 32, of 17 Old Coach Road was arrested for misuse of the emergency 911 system and disorderly conduct.

Sept. 4

Richard Paul Vezina, 47, of no certain address, turned himself in pursuant to an active arrest warrant. Vezina was charged with criminal possession of a firearm.

Sept. 5

Officer Brault responded to Rite Aid Pharmacy located at 25 East High Street for a shoplifting complaint. The Rite Aid store manager was able to identify the shoplifter. As a result, Barbara J. Abbott, 42, of 34 East High St., East Hampton, was issued a summons for sixth-degree larceny.
