East Hampton Police Make 11th Arrest in Fraud Investigation

Middletown man charged with conspiracy to commit larceny and accessory to larceny.

 

East Hampton Police are continuing a two-year long financial fraud investigation that has resulted in the arrest of 11 people involved with defrauding the town of East Hampton. Seven of those people have been convicted. Among those with charges pending include Shamazz Perry, 23 of Middletown – an upper level affiliate of the organization.

Perry was arrested on Tuesday, police said in a press release. He was charged with first degree conspiracy to commit larceny, and first degree accessory to larceny.

East Hampton Police announced the first on Oct. 25.

Officer Kevin Wilcox is the lead investigator from the East Hampton Police Department. He is working with investigators from the other agencies in a task force concept.
