  • BREACH OF PEACE — Police were at Mezzo Grille on Court Street when they saw a male and female leave the bar. Michael A. Caprio, 34, of Greenview Drive, Portland, looked intoxicated, the police report says, and stumbled into the street. Officers saw him punch the woman really hard in the arm, causing her to fall. The woman told officers she was fine and that the two have a child together so she didn't want him arrested.

  • NARCOTICS KEPT IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER, SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY, CREDIT CARD FRAUD, INTERFERENCE WITH SEARCH/ SIMPLE ASSAULT — At 3:37 p.m., police were called to a home on Johnson Street about a larceny by the victim's friend, Scott E. Evans, 28, of Mohegan Trail, East Hampton, who took her ATM card and walked away, according to the report. He was found by police but didn't have the card. The report says Evans was helping the victim pack to move and he left the apartment to check on something abruptly which is when she discovered the card was missing, police say. The friend knew Evans goes to Aresco's Market, and police found he had withdrawn $60 from her account after checking with the bank, the report says. While in the back seat of the cruiser, the report says, police saw Evans "squirming around." After he was brought to the police department officers found pills in the backseat of the cruiser that weren't here previously. The searched Evans and found a hypodermic needle and bottle of pills in his pant's pocket, police said.
