Motor vehicle violations and arrests in East Hampton.

East Hampton

May 9

Christopher Salafia, 38, of 895 Millbrook Road, Middletown, and Rebecca Pratt, 27, of 214 Tartia Road. East Hampton, were involved in a motor vehicle collision on Main Street. Salafia received a verbal warning for unsafe backing.

May 10

Robert Terlisner, 49, of 2731 Boston Neck Road, Saunderstown, R.I., and Gale Morianes, 68, of 85 N. Main St., East Hampton, were involved in a motor vehicle collision on West Point Rd.  Terlisner was issued a written warning for unsafe backing.

Ralph Bowser, 51, of 162 E. High St., East Hampton, and Dean Brown, 44, of 24 Flanders Road, East Hampton, were involved in a two-car motor vehicle accident on East High Street, (Route 66). Bowser was issued a written warning for failure to grant right of way from driveway.

May 11

Robert M. Caruso, Jr., 44, of 15 Meech Road, Middletown, and Eric D. King, 44, of 52 Lake Drive, Colchester, were arrested for possession of marijuana less than 4 ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia.

May 12

Faith Curtis, 67, of 79 Colchester Ave., East Hampton, and Jennifer Flood, 38, of 15 Tarragon Drive, East Hampton, were involved in a two-car motor vehicle accident on Main Street.in front of the Post Office. Curtis was issued a written warning for failure to drive right.

May 13

Melinda Mandell, 19, of 48 S. Main St., East Hampton, and a 17-year-old juvenile of Middletown, were issued summons for larceny in the 6th degree.

May 14

Deanna Caulfield, 41, of 225 Tartia Road, East Hampton, was arrested for driving under the influence and failure to drive right.

Dustin Bell, 32, of 91 Bennett Drive, Hampton, was issued a written warning for failure to drive right.

May 15

William Armitage, 26,of 27 Baker Road, Chester, and Audocio Rodriguez, 63, of 112 Britannia St., Meriden, were involved in two-car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 196 and Route 16. Armitage was issued a ticket for failure to obey a stop light. Rodriguez was issued a ticket for driving a motor vehicle without a valid license.

Natalie MacNeil, 21, of 18 Navajo Trail, East Hampton, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer.

May 16

Evan Boyce, 18, of 31 West Point Road, East Hampton, was arrested for harassment in the 2nd degree.

Richard Pinney, 51, of 86 Willow Road, East Haven, was issued a ticket for talking on a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle.

May 17

Jacqueline Ruffino, 25, of 271 S. Main St., Marlborough, was issued a written warning for having a defective muffler.

Dylan Miller, 19, of 255 Rock Landing Road, Haddam, was arrested for larceny in the 5th degree.

Wayne Boulier, 30, of 25B Church St., Portland, was arrested for criminal mischief in the 3rd degree and disorderly conduct. Boulier was arrested for violation of a restraining order for a separate incident

Edward E. Morrill, 42, of 41 E. High St., East Hampton, was arrested for assault in the 3rd degree, disorderly conduct, interfering with a police officer, violating a protective order and failure to fingerprint. In the same incident Roseanne M. Brutzman, 44, of the same address was arrested for disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer.

Out of town

May 14

Eric Wiese, 43, of 44 Depot Hill Road, East Hampton, was charged in Old Lyme by the State Police, Troop F, with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, driving with a suspended license, improper tail lights and failure to carry insurance.
