Life Star Called to Crash on Middle Haddam Road in East Hampton

A Higganum man was seriously injured on Tuesday night, when he lost control of his truck.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, Timothy Marzec, 28, of Lt. Schubael Road, Higganum was traveling southbound along Route 151, (Middle Haddam Road) in the area of Schoolhouse Lane in East Hampton.

According to Sgt. Michael Green of the East Hampton Police Department, Marzec reportedly dozed off, lost control of his 2006 Chevy 2500 pick-up truck, traveled off the right-hand side of the roadway and struck some large trees.

The East Hampton Volunteer Fire Department responded to address a fuel spill at the scene, as the truck's gas tank had been punctured during the crash.

Marzec sustained a laceration to his head, and severe injuries to one of his legs. He was transported to Hartford Hospital via Life Star helicopter for treatment.

As of Thursday evening, Dec. 20, Marzec was listed in good condition by staff at Hartford Hospital.

I'm not real sure what the take away is. It may be me, but I haven't seen a lot of in-depthRead More reporting on either side of the issue. It appears that we will vote and the result will determine what our future holds. I am willing to read whatever is available to become an informed voter. Please advise where the truth in reporting is and where the public information can be accessed.
