Sean Doran, 20, and co-suspect Kayla Sypek, 20, both appeared in the Middletown court after being arrested Saturday on charges that they planted a fake bomb at the middle school around 2 a.m. on Saturday, police said.

The incident forced a lockdown of the middle school and police had to call in a state bomb squad to X-Ray the package before determining it was fake.
