Sentencing of Hendricks Delayed Again
Former East Hampton Middle School teacher facing 5 to 20 years in prison.
The sentencing of Richard D. Hendricks has been delayed a second time.
Hendricks, formerly employed as a computer teacher at East Hampton Middle School, will now be sentenced on Sept. 19 at 9 a.m. at the United States Court House, 141 Church St., in New Haven.

Sentencing had originally been scheduled for May 8, then was rescheduled for Tuesday.
Hendricks, who also was the Yearbook Advisor at the school, on Jan. 19 before Senior United States District Judge Ellen Breen Burns in New Haven to one count of receipt of child pornography stemming from his arrest on June 8, 2011.

Hendricks, 31, faces a mandatory minimum term of imprisonment of five years, a maximum term of imprisonment of 20 years and a fine of up to $250,000. The Ashford resident has been detained since his arrest on June 9, 2011.
The case was investigated by ICE Homeland Security Investigations, with the assistance of the Connecticut State Police and the East Hampton Police Department.
