Three Injured in Middle Haddam Accident

All three were taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment.

Three people were injured Monday morning when the car they were riding in collided with a stonewall on Route 151 in the Middle Haddam section of East Hampton.

Danielle Jacobs, 22, of Moodus, Morgan Poulin, 20, of Colchester and Thomas Freeman, 20, of Middletown, were all injured in the 11:40 a.m., crash and taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment. Jacobs was transported by Life Star helicopter to the hospital. The other two were transported by ambulance. 

Jacobs and Poulin were discharged from the hospital as of Tuesday morning. Hospital officials did not have updated information on Freeman, though police said all three had been listed in good condition today, police said.

East Hampton police said Jacobs was driving the car and was traveling north on the highway when her vehicle struck a granite wall in front of Christ Church. The car then collided with a fence and stone post at 67 Middle Haddam Road.

Police said the accident remains under investigation.
