Chatham Party Announces East Hampton Candidates for 2013

The party said it was looking to maintain its majority on the town council.

The Chatham Party recently announced its slate of candidates for the 2013 election.

The party held its caucus at Loco Perro on Wednesday, Aug. 21. The independent third party currently holds the majority on the Town Council.

The following individuals were endorsed for election this fall:

Town Council: Sue Weintraub, Kyle Dostaler, Derek Johnson, Glenn Suprono, Angela Sarahina.

Board of Education: Joelyn Leon, Liz Whitty, Peter Levy

Board of Finance: Scott Sanicki, Pat Gauthier, Paul Hoffman

Zoning Board of Appeal: Lois McCutcheon, Carolyn Beamer

Board of Assessment Appeals: Barbara Suprono, John Hines

This is the first election that the Chatham Party is running candidates for the Board of Assessment Appeals. Both Barbara Suprono and John Hines currently serve on the BAA. Suprono was elected in 2009 on the Republican slate and is seeking reelection with the Chatham Party. Hines was appointed by the Town Council in January 2012 as an alternate and is seeking election as a full member.
