Chatham Party Seeks Candidates

Candidates do not need to be registered Chatham Party to be endorsed.

The Chatham Party Town Committee is seeking candidates for the following offices: Town Council, Board of Finance, Board of Education, and the Zoning Board of Appeals.

The Chatham Party is an established and recognized independent political party in the town of East Hampton. Our purpose is to encourage and support the best and highest standards for ethical, efficient, intelligent, fair and sustainable local government. The purpose of the Chatham Party Town Committee is to encourage citizen involvement and active participation in local government by identifying, recruiting and endorsing qualified candidates for locally elected and appointed offices.

Unlike the major political parties that require affiliation, candidates do not need to be registered Chatham Party to be endorsed. Any registered voter in the Town of East Hampton who is interested in running for elected office regardless of party affiliation may be considered.
