Courtney Wants Your Eastern CT Photos

Here's another chance for your photography to be featured on Facebook!

Rep. Joe Courtney needs your help!

He's asking for photo submissions featuring scenes of eastern Connecticut to be considered for his Facebook cover photo.

Here's the congressman's official Facebook request:

"With facebook’s new timeline format, I need your help picking a cover photo for this page! Please submit your own favorite original photo of eastern Connecticut to joecourtneypress@gmail.com and it could be featured here. Include your name and where the photo was taken. Remember, the photo you send must have been taken by you. The photos will be posted as you submit them, and next week, you can help choose a winner!"

And don't forget, we would love to see your photos featured on Patch, too!

Show off your fabulous photography skills in our Pics & Clips gallery.

Hi Tom, Due to the intense rain this weekend--and even today--the lantern launching has indeed beenRead More rescheduled. One of our editors, Ron DeRosa, published a story on it earlier today: http://easthampton-ct.patch.com/groups/around-portland/p/rainy-weekend-postpones-lantern-event-in-portland Hope that clears things up a bit. - Rob

I'm not real sure what the take away is. It may be me, but I haven't seen a lot of in-depthRead More reporting on either side of the issue. It appears that we will vote and the result will determine what our future holds. I am willing to read whatever is available to become an informed voter. Please advise where the truth in reporting is and where the public information can be accessed.
