Schlosser for Board of Education

'Quality education at an affordable price.'

I am honored to be a candidate for the East Hampton Board of Education this November. As a lifelong resident and proud alumnus of East Hampton High School (EHHS) I am eager to serve our schools in return for the quality education provided to our family for four generations.

After graduating from EHHS I received a BSBA degree from Georgetown University then worked at Aetna for 10 years. While raising my family I was hired by the East Hampton school district as a mathematics paraprofessional for 10 years.  During that time I continued my education and became a certified secondary mathematics teacher.  I earned my Masters from Central Connecticut State University and have been teaching mathematics at Bacon Academy in Colchester for the past 12 years.

I have served my town for the past 20 years: as town manager of the Girl Scouts, as Publicity chairperson for the East Hampton Playscape Committee, and as an active member and Past President of the East Hampton Village Lions. I have served my Congregational Church of East Hampton on the deacons, music, and community outreach committees and as Financial Secretary.  I am a team player and would work cooperatively with all members of the board regardless of party affiliation, for the benefit of East Hampton students.

I am the recipient of the East Hampton public schools’ “Friends of Education Award” and the Lions Clubs Melvin Jones Fellow Award for outstanding humanitarian service.

Please consider me your candidate as you vote on November 8th.  If elected I would pursue quality education at an affordable price.
