Schools in East Hampton and Portland are closing early today in order to get kids home before the slippery mix of snow and freezing rain hits the state after noon today.
Both schools will follow their regular half-day schedules, with no afternoon kindergarten classes. All after school activities also have been canceled and the East Hampton Board of Education meeting scheduled for tonight is canceled.
