Freshmen Orientation at East Hampton High School

Program for incoming ninth graders and parents is Aug. 23.

East Hampton High School will hold an orientation for incoming ninth graders and their parents on Thursday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m.

The program for incoming freshmen students is organized and run by upperclassmen. Members of the Class of 2016 will receive information on athletics, clubs and other extra curricular activities. In addition, they will tour the school, participate in community building activities and receive an orientation packet containing a copy of their schedule, a map of the school and their locker assignment.

The orientation component for parents is designed to provide information to help their children make a successful transition to high school. Parents will meet with administrators, guidance counselors and school staff.
